Ep. 2: ProtoMan and Bass confront viruses while Duo threatens Earth's existence

ProtoMan arrives to assist against Bass as giant viruses threaten the real world. Lan and Chaud prepare to send their NetNavis to a comet, but Bass intervenes to defeat the Earth-threatening power himself. Bass encounters Slur, a subordinate of Duo, and is swiftly defeated. Duo, an intergalactic force seeking to erase Earth following Dr. Regal's darkness activities, is convinced by Lan and Chaud to spare the planet. Duo then challenges them to prove humankind's worth. Following this incident, Lan receives the Crest of Duo, a marking on his palm.
