MegaMan suffers from nightmares of killing his NetNavi companions and grows anxious after discovering they were hurt. Despite normal system diagnostics, he acts erratically and is arrested. Lan eventually realizes the prisoner is not his partner, as the figure reveals himself as Dark MegaMan. The genuine MegaMan has been taken captive by the Darkloids CosmoMan, LarkMan, BlizzardMan, and CloudMan. Ms. Yuri aids Lan in the rescue mission, with ShadowMan making a return appearance to help. The group successfully retrieves the real MegaMan, allowing the Darkloids to flee the scene.
