Three decades after Duo’s comet struck Earth, Dr. Regal intends to traverse space and time to harness its energy. MegaMan, ProtoMan, SearchMan, and Colonel rush through time to stop Dark MegaMan, who was dispatched to assist Regal in accessing the comet. However, Dark MegaMan intends to absorb the power himself to become the ultimate NetNavi. Slur refuses to permit this and deletes him. Before fading away, Dark MegaMan self-destructs, thereby preventing Dr. Regal from succeeding. The heroes return home, and the remnants of Dark MegaMan’s being rejoin with MegaMan’s soul, leading MegaMan to forgive him.
