Kenshin and Sarujiro care for Shura until she learns that Ginjo provided Iwazo with opium. Shura confronts Ginjo to defeat him but loses because he used a dirty trick. Kenshin intervenes to end the conflict. Geki then detonates a bomb that destroys Kairyu Island and kills all its inhabitants, sparing only Kenshin and Shura.
