Ep. 8: Kenshin and Sanosuke Assist Megumi Takani While Pursued by the Oniwabanshū

Sanosuke learns that a friend died from opium use. A mysterious woman named Megumi Takani arrives seeking his help. Kenshin accompanies them as Megumi is hunted by the Oniwabanshū, an elite ninja group formerly tasked with protecting the Edo castle. The trio works together to shield her from these pursuers. During the conflict, Yahiko becomes poisoned. The narrative focuses on the immediate danger posed by the ninja and the group's efforts to ensure Megumi's safety while dealing with the aftermath of the opium-related death and the subsequent injury to Yahiko.
