Japan has transformed into a wasteland due to the Rusty Wind, which causes everything to rust away. A suspicious priest visits a checkpoint alone, carrying a bow that priests typically do not use. At the same time, Milo, a doctor operating a clinic in the town of Imihama, is secretly researching new medicines. His goal is to save his older sister, Pawoo, who is being corroded by the Rust. On this particular day, a stranger appears before Milo, disrupting his routine and potentially altering the course of his desperate search for a cure.
