After departing from the city of the dead, Will enters the outside world and walks through the woods for several days. He encounters Menel, a half-elf hunter, who becomes the first person he meets. Will is happy to speak with someone his own age and remembers the interaction fondly after they part ways. Later that night, he receives a revelation from Gracefeel.
