The second season commences one week after the first season concludes within the narrative timeline, despite a real-world gap of one year. This interval allows the story to revisit character personalities as everyone gathers to bother Kusuo at his desk. His relatives and friends attempt to celebrate Christmas at his home, but he strives to evade them. On New Year's Day, Kusuo watches television programs that unexpectedly feature his loved ones. Meanwhile, Toritsuka joins Haito's tennis team to attract a specific player. Kusuo disguises himself as a female to enter a women-only buffet, where his female acquaintances nearly uncover his true identity during the dessert buffet incident.
