Rud is a shielder with a defense stat of 9999, the highest recorded, and serves as a tank during labyrinth raids with the Hero's Party. His objective is to locate a treasure capable of granting any wish, hoping to cure his sick younger sister. However, the hero abruptly expels him, claiming his ability is ineffective. Rud returns to his hometown, where he rescues a girl who explains the actual strength of his skill, revealing it to be extremely powerful. The story follows Rud's journey as he continues his quest with a unique defense ability and the highest defense stat ever recorded.
