Sorata and Nanami spend Christmas Eve together until they discover Mashiro has left the party and cannot be located. After finding her, Sorata opens the letter containing the primary selection results and learns that he has passed once again. Upon returning home, the trio encounters a desolate Misaki. She explains that Jin refuses to become her boyfriend, despite her confession that he is the one he truly likes. The group deals with the aftermath of these personal revelations following the holiday events and the confirmation of Sorata's continued progress in the selection process.
