Ep. 15: Zack overcomes fire fear to break bars while Danny shoots Ray after a vow discussion.

Ray and Zack flee a burning facility, blocked by steel bars. Zack suffers a panic attack from fire fear but regains composure seeing Ray struggle, then breaks the bars and his scythe to clear the path. On the top floor, Ray asks if Zack still wants to kill her, offering to forgive him if he changes his mind. Zack reaffirms his promise just as Danny arrives and shoots Ray in the back. Danny reveals he triggered the self-destruct sequence and holds Zack at gunpoint to watch Ray die, forcing Zack to live with the failure to keep his vow. Ray tells Zack she values the vow itself, not its fulfillment, and will bear the burden so he does not feel like a liar. Jealous of Ray’s affection, Danny shoots Ray again and aims at Zack until Gray disables him with a crossbow. Gray orders Zack to escape through the exit, claiming there is still a chance to save Ray. Zack picks up Ray’s body and heads for the door while Danny keeps his gun trained on Zack’s back.
