Ep. 2: Kasane shields Naomi from a sniper shot during a joint platoon training exercise and subway mission.

After his first mission, Yuito reflects on Kasane saving his life at age five. Naomi suggests a day off, leading the group to cross paths with Yuito and Nagi. They attend a joint training session between the Seto and Kyoka Platoons, participating in a capture the flag battle. Kasane suspects Naomi has feelings for Yuito and tests his worthiness. Seto Platoon wins due to Arashi’s laziness and Kasane’s obsession. The teams are then called to suppress an Other breakout in an abandoned subway system. As they fight and move deeper, communication is disrupted. An unidentified assailant attempts to shoot Kasane, but Naomi predicts the attack and shields her sister. The bullet embeds in Naomi’s chest, encasing her body in icy crystals.
