To secure a loan from Fred, the Outlaw Star crew enters the Universal Strongman Tournament to prevent Fred's fiancée, Reiko Ando, from winning and marrying him. Gene disguises himself as a woman named Jenny, competing despite injuries to win his matches. Aisha, barred from entry due to her origin, joins as a masked wrestler called Firecat. She defeats Lady Iraga, a Kei Pirate who turns out to be from Aisha's own tribe. After Fred pays the crew for their interference, they depart from Heifong to search for the Galactic Layline.
