The crew explores ruins on a deserted planet to find information regarding the Galactic Leyline. Harry attempts to seduce and kidnap Melfina once more, but Gene successfully rebuffs him. Ron attacks the group, but the assault is halted by an earthquake. Later, at an outpost, Professor Nguyen Khan uses code words to put Melfina to sleep. He then instructs Gene to visit a prison to gather intelligence on the Galactic Leyline.
