Upon reaching the training camp, the student council persists in attempting to communicate with Gawain. Ash manages to climb onto the dragon's back but is subsequently knocked unconscious, leading to a conversation with Gawain inside the Highdragon Workshop. During this encounter, Ash discovers the true reason behind Gawain's refusal to allow Lucca to ride him. The dragon explains that a recent accident occurred between them, and he is currently avoiding letting her mount him to prevent putting her in similar danger again.
