Ep. 1: Twin brothers emerge as shamans amidst grave robbing and spirit possession in 1985

In 1985, a woman births twins, one being the reincarnation of Shaman Asakura Hao, who harms his family and flees with a guardian ghost. Thirteen years later, the other twin, Shaman Asakura Yoh, displays his abilities to Manta, a high school student visiting a graveyard. Manta attempts to reveal Yoh’s secret but clashes with delinquent Ryu, who desecrates the grave of samurai Amidamaru. Witnessing Manta’s injuries, Yoh defeats Ryu by allowing Amidamaru’s soul to possess him. Following this event, Yoh befriends both Manta and Amidamaru, eventually convincing the reluctant samurai to become his partner after revealing that the spirit of his friend Mosuke has repaired his sword, Harusame. Meanwhile, another shaman observes Yoh from a distance.
