Ep. 1: Cheng Xiaoshi Disobeys Timeline Rules and Triggers Tragic Consequences for Emma

Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang accept a mission to expose corporate fraud using a photo taken by Emma. Cheng enters the image while Lu Guang guides him from the present. Cheng suffers assault by Emma’s boss at Vicky Games but returns home. Despite Lu Guang’s warnings to preserve the timeline, Cheng texts the boss. The next day, Cheng causes Emma to be unfairly fired, a result that deeply troubles him. He endures a slap to obtain necessary information. In the present, Emma finds a message to her parents and prepares for a train journey to see them. A man offers her a ride to the station. While Cheng is distracted by Qiao, Lu Guang checks his phone and discovers news that Emma has died.
