Danchi experiences intense hostility toward an elderly pair observed playing mahjong, while Tetsuya identifies them as skilled professionals. Despite Tetsuya’s warnings, Danchi disregards the danger until he recognizes the pair as the individuals responsible for ruining his home during his youth. Fueled by anger, Danchi joins Tetsuya to challenge them to a rematch. However, Danchi loses his courage during the game and suffers a devastating loss against Tetsuya’s Yakuman. Following this defeat and the revelation of his past trauma, Danchi severs his relationship with Tetsuya and departs alone into the rain.
