Tetsuya and Boshu remain the undisputed champions of Shinjuku, having successfully defended their titles against all challengers. However, Boshu suffers a disastrous mistake during a dice throw, triggering his deepest fear of losing his skill. While Boshu is left speechless by this failure, Tetsuya refuses to surrender and fights back using every technique Boshu previously taught him. His intense determination apparently earns the favor of the gods. Believing his gambling career has definitively ended, Boshu bids farewell to Tetsuya and departs Shinjuku, vowing never to return.
