Half a year has elapsed since Boshu disappeared from Shinjuku. Tetsuya is now recognized as Kid Tetsu, a dreaded mahjong professional. A young man named Danchi trails him constantly. Suddenly, a disturbing figure named Innami appears, claiming he can read the tiles. Innami was the first genuine gambler Tetsuya encountered years ago. However, his current demeanor bears little resemblance to the person Tetsuya once knew. This encounter forces Tetsuya to confront his history with a man who has changed drastically since their last meeting, while Danchi continues to observe the unfolding events.
