Nagate and Izana join Platoon 1, arriving two hours before the anti-planetary missile, while Platoon 2 targets the propulsion. Platoon 1 suffers heavy losses when the placenta morphs into Heigus cannons, and Platoon 2 is wiped out by Benisuzume. With only 14 Guardians remaining and one hour left, Yuhata proposes firing Sidonia’s super Heigus particle cannon at the Gauna head. This requires diverting all power, leaving the ship defenseless. The Captain approves, and Sidonia fires the cannon, allowing the remaining pilots to infiltrate the structure and destroy the controlling Master Gauna.
