Ep. 12: Nagate returns to Sidonia after planetary conquest while Kunato observes an incomplete chimera.

Izana hacks the Tsugumori to enable Nagate to destroy the Benisuzume, though a Shizuka copy remains dormant in his cockpit. After releasing Tsumugi, Gauna converge on the location, but a Hayakaze-equipped team led by Samari and Tsuruuchi eliminates the threat. Nagate returns to Sidonia with the placental Shizuka for containment. He receives a decoration for bravery, while Lala confronts Kobayashi about exploiting him, who defends her actions as serving Sidonia. Kunato notes an incomplete chimera, suggesting his primary objective is achieved. Nagate visits his childhood home, leaving his medal as gratitude, before he and his friends are summoned for another sortie.
