Following the conflict with Dr. Eggman over the Chaos Emeralds, Sonic is transported to the human world. He engages in a rapid pursuit with the S-Team patrol, effortlessly outpacing them. Sonic continues his run through a highway blockade and accidentally falls into the swimming pool of a nearby mansion. Unable to swim, he is rescued by Chris Thorndyke, a boy residing in the house. Chris lives there because his parents are occupied with their professional duties; one serves as the CEO of a technology company, while the other is a movie star. This encounter marks Sonic's unexpected arrival on Planet Earth, far from his usual adventures.
