While visiting Chris, Sonic discovers that Cream and Cheese have been taken to Area 99, a highly secure military research facility. After Chris contacts his grandfather Chuck to obtain the facility's location, Sonic manages to sneak inside. The rescue mission quickly escalates into a chaotic and perilous situation. Tails then arrives at the scene to join the group and assist in the operation.
