Responding to Cosmo's prayers, the Chaos Emeralds regain their power, allowing Super Sonic and Super Shadow to stand tall and shine in gold. The duo launches fierce attacks that destroy the outer layer of the nut, ultimately blowing it into pieces. However, this victory does not mark the end of their troubles. Cosmo discovers her true purpose during the battle, while Tails is compelled to make a difficult decision regarding the situation. The conflict remains unresolved despite the apparent destruction of the enemy's outer shell, leaving the heroes facing new challenges.

Chris abandons hope of returning to Earth after receiving a one-way ticket from Eggman
Apr 18, 2005Following the conclusion of the conflict, the group takes time to process their recent experiences. With the Master Emerald failing to restore itself in the near future, Chris accepts that he cannot go back to Earth. However, his resignation is interrupted when he receives an envelope from Eggman. Inside the envelope is a single ticket explicitly labeled as a one-way trip to Earth, offering a potential means of departure despite the earlier hopelessness regarding the Emerald's condition.
