Ep. 2: The Sun King Demands Rain, Leading to an Assassination Attempt and a Rescue

Livius, the sun king, reveals his gender to a shocked Nike, who discovers she is the summoned bride. He commands her to use her weather powers to summon rain, but she refuses, insisting she must first witness the world's beauty. Livius attempts to impress her with dresses and meals, yet she clarifies she means natural scenery. Shocked that he perceives no beauty, she resolves to show it to him. An assassination attempt forces Nike to shield Livius, taking an arrow herself. He sends her away by carriage, but she returns upon seeing smoke from a second attack involving a burning palace. Nike summons rain to extinguish the flames, and Livius smiles upon seeing the resulting rainbow.
