Frieren and Fern reach the trading town of Warm. Suspecting Frieren plans to separate, Fern chooses to accompany her, wondering about her true motives. Upon departing Warm, the pair discovers a village where an elderly man guides them to the location of Qual. This Demon was sealed away by Frieren during her journey eighty years prior. The episode focuses on their arrival in Warm, Fern's decision to follow, and their subsequent discovery of the historical site associated with Frieren's past actions against the demon.
