Ep. 8: Kurisu rebuilds the Phone Microwave to send Rintaro back to his original world line.

Rintaro realizes he is trapped in the alpha world line where Mayuri is dead, a result of the local Rintaro refusing to sacrifice Kurisu. Recognizing him as an outsider, Kurisu reveals she has reconstructed the Phone Microwave and urges him to use it to return to his home timeline. While Rintaro hesitates, she takes him to Mayuri’s grave to help him accept reality. Before he can delete their data from SERN and return to the beta world line, Kurisu advises him against interacting with Amadeus. She then kisses him and sends a D-Mail to her past self, creating a delay that prevents Rintaro from leaving and effectively strands him in this timeline.
