They encounter a girl identical to Shiki, who is revealed to be Eri. Shiki explains that she assumed Eri's appearance as payment for the Reapers' Game, theorizing that Neku's memories served as his entry fee. The following day, the pair undertakes a mission involving a celebrity to promote Red Skull pins, which disturbs the audience. They see Eri mourning Shiki, prompting Shiki to clarify that the Reapers' Game requires the deceased to survive in order to return to life.
