Ep. 9: Anko seeks courage to bid farewell to Yuzuki on Mochi Day

On October 10, Mochi Day, the Tamaya shop hosts a mochi pounding event. Anko asks Tamako to save daifuku for Yuzuki, her crush, but struggles to face him. Mochizou discovers Anko is depressed because Yuzuki is transferring schools. Tamako encourages Anko to see him off. Yuzuki receives fresh mochi and promises to return when his family visits Tamaya. Later, Tamako hears Mamedai play a childhood song. Record store owner Kunio Yaobi reveals Mamedai wrote it for his late mother, Hinako.
