Traveling to Colony Eight on the moon, Kyosuke and Komugi are intercepted by the Flicker girls, including Megumi, Kasumi, Asuka, and Sayaka, who intend to kill Kyosuke. He swiftly defeats them and reaches the colony center, where he encounters a floating brain identified as his maternal grandfather, Daigo Tokisaka. Daigo reveals his role in the Beta Applicon Project seventeen years ago, explaining that he used a substance from a male alien to cure all human disease. He injected his fatally ill daughter, Tsubaki, with this agent, which saved her life and led to her giving birth to Richard Vincent’s fraternal twins, Kyosuke and Runa.
