Ep. 12: Runa Reunites With Kyosuke While Shiro Weighs the Moral Dilemma of Her Fate
On the moon, Runa initially appears as a five-year-old child before her twin brother Kyosuke and a doctor. After absorbing all flickers into her body, she transforms into her true seventeen-year-old form. The doctor attempts to destroy Runa using the mysterious Applicon Buster, which originally created Kyosuke and Runa. Instead, Runa disperses the device into the atmosphere toward Earth, shocking Kyosuke. The doctor is subsequently destroyed when Kyosuke reluctantly absorbs the soul and spirit of his adoptive mother, Mio, due to their shared connection. Freed, Runa embraces Kyosuke, rejoicing in their reunion. However, Kyosuke worries about the new Beta Applicon Buster being unleashed on Earth and questions Runa's actions. Nearby, Shiro contemplates Kyosuke's ultimate decision: whether to save his twin sister or kill her to protect humanity.
