Ep. 1: Touma battles Ouma Yamisaka to rescue Index and cure a cursed woman

Touma Kamijou attempts to finish summer homework while Index causes distractions, leading them to a restaurant where magician Ouma Yamisaka attacks and kidnaps her. Ouma seeks to extract grimoires from Index’s mind to cure a curse on a woman he loves, enduring severe pain during the ritual. Touma, aided by Mikoto Misaka and Index’s new cellphone, locates her and halts the ceremony. He helps Ouma overcome his depression and offers to remove the curse with his Imagine Breaker. Concurrently, Motoharu Tsuchimikado observes Kaori Kanzaki defeating the Knights of England in Japan before they separate.
