Shiki engages in combat with Nicole Premier, resulting in him drinking her blood. This blood, which serves as the basis for Line, typically causes madness or death, yet Shiki survives the exposure. He then sets out to locate Akira. From the roof of a nearby building, Arbitro, Kau, Kiriwar, and Gunji observe these events. Shiki eventually finds Akira and Keisuke, who are attempting to flee to safety. When Shiki attempts to compel Akira to accompany him, Keisuke intervenes to protect her. Shiki responds by killing Keisuke, allowing him to proceed with his intentions toward Akira.
