Following Keisuke's death, Akira attacks Shiki, but Rin intervenes and is injured. Akira refuses to abandon Rin, valuing her trust, until Nicole Premier rescues them. Later, Akira holds a normal job and visits Rin in the hospital, threatening him to keep a promise. Motomi then informs Akira of a new Line threatening the city. The episode concludes with Akira preparing to fight Shiki, who is surrounded by an open box of Line on a mountain. Akira reflects on the societal desire to live and acknowledges that his understanding of life's value stems from Keisuke's death. He realizes he is not fighting another person, but rather himself, marking a significant internal shift in his perspective on existence and conflict.
