Laura and her classmates are studying star constellations at school, with a planned field trip to view the Milky Way under the real night sky. Laura and Kana are excited about the opportunity to make wishes on the stars. Kana jokingly suggests that wishing on a star simultaneously with someone else causes the two to fall in love. Half-believing this, Laura decides to stand by Travis during the trip so they can make a wish together. Meanwhile, Hamtaro misunderstands the situation, thinking Laura will leave on a star to make her wish. He and the Ham-Hams attempt to stop her. Ultimately, Laura forgets her wish entirely as she enjoys focusing on the fireflies.
