While walking with Laura, Hamtaro falls into a box on a transport truck while trying to save one of her ribbons, which causes Laura to become depressed. With assistance from a man and his dog, Hamtaro encounters Jingle, a new hamster named Sabu, his bird Francoise, and Jingle's pig, Herbert. These new friends help Hamtaro return home, leading to a happy reunion with Laura and bringing joy to the Ham-Hams.
