Ep. 2: Koyomi seeks Yozuru's help to understand his gradual transformation into a vampire.

Koyomi hides his lack of reflection from Tsukihi before Karen attacks them. He discusses his condition with Shinobu, who confirms he is becoming a vampire despite a toe injury that appeared unhealed. Shinobu suggests consulting Yozuru Kagenui, but Koyomi refuses to use Kaiki as an intermediary. They decide to contact Izuko Gaen instead, who messages him to meet at an arcade. Koyomi asks Tsukihi to stay at Suruga Kanbaru's house to protect her from potential danger. At the arcade, Koyomi retrieves Yotsugi from a claw machine after twelve attempts. Yozuru examines Koyomi at the abandoned cram school ruins, breaking his fingers to demonstrate that vampires can consciously heal. Yotsugi explains that Koyomi is slowly turning into a vampire because his soul has become accustomed to that state due to frequent past transformations and daily power usage while saving Sengoku. Yozuru states that the transformation cannot be reversed.
