Mutta visits the Johnson Space Center to watch Hibito train, but a JAXA judge reveals the reason for his previous termination. Later, Hibito praises Mutta on television, surprising him. Mutta then receives a call from former colleagues about what his ex-boss told JAXA, leading him to believe he has lost his astronaut chance. Hoshika, a JAXA judge who has observed Mutta and Hibito’s visits since childhood, meets with the former workmates to hear the full story and clarify the situation.
