Mutta travels to Houston to reunite with Hibito and his pet pug, Apo. During a visit to Hibito's home, Hibito observes that Mutta has lost his competitive edge against him. The following day, Mutta converses with dog walkers Mr. and Mrs. Smith, who provide insights into Hibito's perspective on their rivalry. Inspired by this conversation, Mutta resolves to become more competitive with Hibito. Meanwhile, at JAXA, one of the judges appears to oppose Mutta's application.
