Daikichi assists in caring for Kouki while Yukari recovers from a cold. Rin prepares for a skipping rope contest, with Daikichi participating to lose weight. Following the event, Daikichi takes Rin to meet his parents, where one of Rin’s loose teeth falls out. Daikichi converses with his sister, recalling advice from Yukari and adult friends. During the journey home, he reflects on the past year spent with Rin.
