At night, martial artist Yui-Li encounters a shinma disguised as her lover, who escapes her attacks. Upon returning to her dojo, she sees the creature mimicking her master, reminding her that he consumed all her loved ones. As Yui-Li is nearly defeated, Miyu arrives, causing the shinma to vanish. Determined to kill the entity, Yui-Li refuses Miyu's interference. On a harbor ship, she faces the shinma, identified as Koh-Waku, which shifts into forms of her deceased loved ones to exploit her selfish desire for revenge. Before Koh-Waku can consume Yui-Li's soul, Miyu intervenes. With Yui-Li's assistance, Miyu returns Koh-Waku to darkness. Miyu advises Yui-Li to grieve properly rather than fall into eternal sleep.
