Following the Christmas Eve concert, Touya's father suffers a collapse from a chronic condition and is admitted to the hospital. The subsequent day, Yuki attempts to visit but fails to encounter Touya as he departs. Meanwhile, Itsuki Kanzaki receives reprimands for skipping the holiday performance. The narrative also reveals the whereabouts of Menou Akiyama, the absent star singer of the M&MM agency. In a separate scene, Eiji is depicted standing before a painting, having secured victory in his "mobilization value" wager. These events unfold amidst the aftermath of the musical performances and the resolution of various personal and professional conflicts involving the cast members.

After Eiji ceases Yuki's lessons, she visits Touya's hospitalized father. Yuki and Touya converse atop a building, where Yuki harshly criticizes herself before breaking down in tears. She settles onto Touya's back to calm down. On New Year's Eve, Yuki visits Touya's apartment, and the pair welcome the new year with a kiss, marking the start of 1987.

Touya’s father intended to celebrate the New Year’s holiday at home, but his health deteriorates rapidly, forcing an immediate return to the hospital. Touya feels deep sadness and disappointment regarding his father’s condition. Several days later, a meeting takes place at Ogata Productions to discuss the Venus Festival, a musical competition for young female singers held annually in February. The rules stipulate that each production company can only enter one group or singer. Rina, having never had the opportunity to participate before, perceives Eiji’s intentions and abruptly announces her decision to go independent, leaving the meeting.

Rina transfers to M&MM while Sakuradan disbands and Yuki visits Touya's father.

A press conference reveals that Rina is transferring to Itsuki Kanzaki's rival agency, M&MM. The same event announces the disbandment of Sakuradan and notes that vice-leader Sarii will pursue a solo career. Meanwhile, Yuki visits Touya's father in the hospital alone, where they discuss his son. After finishing her final gig for Ogata Productions, Rina is intercepted by Touya in the TV station dressing room. Although she attempts to maintain a strong demeanor, she breaks down and embraces him. The encounter concludes with Rina asking Touya to kiss her, highlighting the emotional tension between them as their professional paths diverge.

Touya arrives in his hometown to discover Menou acting as if she owns the place before an agency staff member retrieves her. Meanwhile, Eiji concludes that a photograph of a girl sent by Itsuki is a forgery and persists in his search for the authentic image. Although Eiji experiences delusions regarding the true contents of the pictures, Yuki corrects his misconceptions. Rina, who has a nearly empty schedule, undergoes extensive voluntary training with Touya by her side. Additionally, the secret affair between Touya and Yayoi continues to develop amidst these events.

Touya faces regret at the crossroad while Hiraragi plots revenge against Ogata Productions.

A dark presence threatens Touya and his associates. Outside, Rina’s former manager, Hiraragi, is secretly recording her when Maruta interrupts him. Hiraragi had been planning retribution against the Ogata Productions staff, but Maruta unexpectedly intervenes in the scheme. Meanwhile, Touya is giving Mana private lessons in her bedroom. Her mother, Itsuki, discovers them there. Mana subsequently learns that Touya works for Rina while maintaining a friendship with Yuki. This revelation causes Mana to become furious, and she storms out of the house.

Eye contact helps Touya connect with others while secrets threaten to surface

Touya travels to Haruka’s mountain residence to locate Mana, who has fled her home. Upon arrival, he observes Haruka resuming her horseback riding and tennis practice. Meanwhile, Tamaru confronts Misaki, demanding she write an article for him in exchange for withholding secret photographs of Touya and Yayoi. Menou steps in to resolve the conflict by proposing a fabricated scandal to distract from the real situation involving Touya. This plan aims to replace the truth with a staged event, allowing the group to avoid the consequences of the leaked images while maintaining their current social standing.

He subsequently passes away without waking from this vision. During the wake preparations, Misaki assists in organizing his belongings for display. Touya shares stories about his father before breaking down in tears and embracing Misaki. He states that this moment is only for today. The narrative concludes with this emotional farewell between the two characters amidst the somber preparations.

Yuki visits Eiji at his secret hiding place to console him after he lost everything. The two embrace, and Yuki closes her eyes against his chest.
