Ep. 1: Akira joins the high-casualty Yakitori unit for a diplomatic mission on Barka

Disillusioned with his mundane existence on Earth, Akira accepts an invitation from his acquaintance Vasha Pupkin to join the Yakitori orbital drop infantry unit of a trade federation. Despite a seventy percent casualty rate, he is assigned to the K321 unit alongside four other recruits. The group is deployed to the planet Barka as part of an intergalactic force tasked with protecting a feline special envoy. Their diplomatic assignment is quickly interrupted by combat against the mole-like native population, who are rising up in rebellion against an exploitative financial agreement imposed by the trade federation.
