Norman informs Emma and the group that he escaped Lambda 7214, a farm testing site, with help from Smee, a Minerva supporter. He explains that demons consume humans to maintain their intellect, otherwise degrading into beasts, and claims to have developed a drug to induce this degeneration for use against local demons. Ray points out that Emma hesitates to kill all demons, citing exceptions like Sonju and Mujika who survive without eating humans. He urges her to discuss this with Norman. Upon reaching Norman’s headquarters, they find him absent and meet his allies Cislo, Barbara, and Vincent, who are determined to kill demons. When Norman returns and Emma mentions Mujika, he dismissively refers to her as the Evil-Blooded Girl.
