Ep. 78: Fujiko faces lefty tactics while Yawara rejects company lies before the finals.

Fujiko utilizes her dancer flexibility to invent new pinning moves, bringing her closer to her Yugoslavia dreams with only the finals remaining. Matsuda interviews company representatives and warns Yawara that they exploit her for publicity, preventing a normal life. Fujiko overhears this and feels guilty for potentially forcing her ambitions on her friend. The Tsurukame president admits to lying about a judo dojo to secure Yawara’s contract, but she remains unbothered as she can still work normally. Yawara faces old rival Ogaki, who uses a secret technique, but Yawara defeats her smoothly despite Matsuda’s incorrect assumption that she intended to throw the match. Yawara chases the Tsurukame group to accept their offer, but they have departed. Meanwhile, Fujiko struggles in her finals match because she lacks training against left-handed opponents.
