Duke and Rebecca encounter Mai and Valon while attempting to reunite with Yami and the others. Valon accepts Rebecca's duel invitation to prove himself, prompting Duke to join the match. Although they fight hard, Valon's enigmatic Armor deck overwhelms them, resulting in their defeat. The opponents survive because Valon chooses not to activate the Seal of Oricalcos. Concurrently, Yugi, Joey, Tristan, and Téa are nearing their reunion. Separately, Kaiba and Mokuba depart on their private aircraft, moving toward their respective destinations.
