After the Rainbow Dragon returns the Academy, Jaden discovers Jesse is missing and blames himself for the situation. He resolves to save his friend, while Shepard informs Jaden's companions about Yubel, a figure Axel previously encountered during a duel. A dimensional portal opens, prompting Jaden to enter it alone to locate Jesse. However, his friends refuse to let him go by himself and join him. Together, they send Jaden, Syrus, Bastion, Jim, Axel, Alexis, Atticus, Chazz, Zane, Aster, Crowler, Hassleberry, and Echo into the portal to find Jesse.
