Yuma, aware of Rei’s true identity as a Barian’s Guardian, chooses to investigate the Barians alongside her, keeping Astral uninformed about their plans. Meanwhile, Astral searches his memories within the Emperor’s Key to learn more about the Barians and encounters Number 96. A massive black shadow approaches Astral, who rejects Number 96’s assertion that Astral requires evil. When the voice’s master declares that Yuma and Astral must be tested, the two are challenged to a Duel.
