A flashback reveals Sumika writing a letter for Kureha’s birthday, reflecting on their bond and a book by Reia. Excluded from the Invisible Storm for not voting to exclude Kureha, Sumika was coerced by Kaoru to announce Kaoru as her new friend for protection. In the present, Lulu assists Ginko in escaping Kaoru, who collaborates with a secret partner regarding the bears' identities. During Kureha’s birthday party, Kaoru exposes her deception by burning Sumika’s letter. Despite injuries, Ginko risks her life to save the letter. Kureha reads the rescued letter, finding new meaning in Sumika’s message that those present are her true friends. A final flashback shows Ginko witnessing Mitsuko attack Sumika without intervening.
